The Art Wall Project

The art wall project is a combination of engineering and artistic composition. The art wall team is made up of engineers with a passion for art. To combine engineering and art, we are creating a very large tower to be constructed in the city center of a major urban population somewhere in the United States. The tower (wall) will display 14 canvasses, created by individual artists, 7 on one face and 7 on the other. The wall will rotate in/out 1 artistic composition every 24 hours.

The intention of the project is to create a changing art center within a major urban center to add culture to a city and expose artists at the same time. We will be easily viewable from 5 blocks down the street and from the top floors of office buildings. We will take the art to the people, as opposed to traditional forms of exposure.

The participating artists help fund the enormous costs of constructing the wall by paying a fee to gain exposure. The combined fee's of the artists will also go to market the wall and therefore themselves. Combining 365 artists per year will create a huge marketing campaign that will push the art wall to the forefront of artistic invention and gain artists immediate exposure.

To recoup the fees all pieces displayed on the wall will be auctioned off at the end of the year and 70% of the profits will go directly to the artists. Additionally artists may choose to have prints available and sold from the website which will further their profits off of their investment. We predict that the wall will give artists a huge leap of recognition, and create a large profit center for them and their work. To further the exposure our advertising campaign will publish the project in all major artistic prints (magazines, newsletters, etc...), and display the aritist's work on our website for exposure outside the hosting city.
